Allison knew early on that she wanted to pursue a career in Physiotherapy. After experiencing a knee injury while playing basketball, she was exposed to many months of Physiotherapy and developed a keen interest in rehabilitation.
Allison graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Masters in Physical Therapy in 2011. She also completed a B.Sc in Kinesiology and Physiology from the same university. Since graduating, Allison has gone on to complete training in Dry Needling through Kineticore and continues to work towards her Manual Therapy designation. She has a special interest in shoulder assessment and treatment, and works collaboratively with Physicians at the Southern Alberta Shoulder Care Clinic. Allison has also spent several years as a Physiotherapist for CIS teams and has provided sideline coverage for basketball, volleyball and soccer events.
Allison incorporates a combination of treatment techniques including hands-on Manual Therapy, Soft Tissue Mobilization, Exercise Prescription and Dry Needling to help her clients reach their goals. She believes that teamwork is key to optimal rehabilitation and enjoys working alongside athletes, weekend warriors and everyone in between.
In her spare time Allison enjoys trips to the mountains, skiing, baking, reality TV and participating in a variety of group fitness classes.
